In the folder CHARS under the folder CENTIPEDE was installed into, is the textfile "CENTI.CHR"
(example: C:\CENTIPED\CHARS\CENTI.CHR).
Near the end is the section FIRSTINVENTORY=
Changing all these 0 or 1 values to 999 will give 999 shots of all "special"weapons(SPACEBAR or mouse button2).
Down a little farther is HITPOINTS=
Changing this 1 value to 0 will make your character invulnerable.
Command-line parameters
WARNING!: Many of these do not work and will crash the game!
recognized options are:
-2 Play with 2 player split screen mouse/keyboard
-w Use wingman Extreme for input
-g use GCI flight controller on COM2 for input
-g1 use GCI flight controller on COM1 for input
-L <filename> load the given .lvl file.
This option does work, but the only ways to exit the game after running it thiswayare to try and start a new game or to use the DLOAD cheat inside a level.
It also appears that this option records a demo into the file record.dat as the option-ris supposed to.

Change Attitude:
To alter your council's attitude and time period, enable Cheat Mode, then press[Ctrl]+[Shift]+[T].
Edit Unit :
Hold [Ctrl]+[Shift]+[U]. You can now change all atributes except type of unit.
Edit the Throne Room:
To change your throne room, turn Cheat Mode on then press [Q] and click on the spot you wish to change.
Invincibility :
Type "god" during gameplay to become invincible.
Use Enemy City:
Infiltrate your enemy's cities.
Press [V] and move diagonally into an enemy city and press ENTER.
You can now change the city's productivity and disband unit.
Funny trick:
Investigate an enemy (or any city) using a diplomat or a spy.
The programmers made all of the functions unaccessable, but they forgot one thing.
The buttons still work! You can rename a city, for example rename "Paris" to "I am stupid". :-)
To activate the cheat mode (an "Extras" menu), type
[Ctrl], [A], [O], [D], [B], [A], [M], [F]
in sequence at end turn. The menu contains the following cheats:
