Hint: Unlimited defense:
Choose the Life Warrior, and when you get to the playing field, double click on him and move The Peacemaker artifact from his hand to his backpack. His defense will keep going up. Repeat this to build the defense indefinitely. This also can be done with the same artifact obtained when the life great temple is conquered with the Life Mage Lord. Note: This trick does not work with v2.02.
Hint: Control opposing army:
Note: This trick works better with fast troops. When in a capital and attacked by an army larger than your own, just run away. If your troops can get away, and you do not get into any more fights until your turn, then you may be able to control the opposing army in a limited way. Although you will not be able to move the army, they will be on the bottom panel instead of your characters. Double click on them, and click the disband button. You can not disband Lords. It a Lord entered your capital, move in with an army. This trick can be used to win the game if the Lord who enters the capital is Balkoth with his unholy armies.

Always check your team's Depth Chart before starting a game to ensure that the right guys are playing at the right positions. This is especially important when it comes to return teams--the computer might have the incorrect guy returning kicks or a star player in the risky business of playing kick coverage.

Stay with the running game unless you've fallen so far behind that you must pass. Even unsuccessful runs help keep the defense wondering what you might call next.

* Tips
- Enemy missile turrets:
This is not a game of brute force. Look for a sneaky way to gain an objective.
For example, don't take out the enemy missile turrets; take out their power supply.
- Targeting hot keys:
Use the targeting hot keys. Rather than barrage the enemy mech with a series of randomly aimed shots, aim for the legs or head.
Remember, the cleaner the kill, the more salvage there is available.
- Rest your MechWarriors:
Rest your MechWarriors. Give your pilots a break. Once they are injured you should rest them for a mission or two.

* Tips:
- If you're finding traffic hard to navigate, get off the road and onto the sidewalk. Most of the vehicles can drive quite nicely on the sidewalks between the guardrails and the lampposts, and you'll find a clear path (this works very well out on Navy Pier). Also, don't worry about crashing into those massive checkpoint posts on the sidewalk--they're invisible (collision-wise) to your vehicle.
- If you get into a bump-and-grind situation with an AI car, you'll find yourself losing most of the tussles, even if you have the bigger vehicle. The best tactic is to quickly sideswipe the car, and then swerve away. If you time it right, you can bump the car into oncoming traffic or a building.
- The AI-controlled drivers always stay on the road, which means that you'll have great opportunities to cut a few corners here and there (remember, Chicago has plenty of parks!). When you're off-road driving, slow down a bit and try not to make any turns. If you try anything wild on the soft grass, you'll probably spin out and lose any advantage you might have gained.
- To win a race, especially a Checkpoint race, you need to know the course. Take on the course in one of the heavier vehicles with no cops and limited traffic, and you'll maximize your chances of making it through the course and learning all of the possible shortcuts. You won't win, but you'll gain vital knowledge that will help you when you go back into the race with a performance vehicle and full obstacles in place.
- Vehicle damage is your enemy! There are so many things to hit during the course of the race that you'll often find yourself with a wheelless, smoking hulk of a car before you can finish the race. Try to save your damage points for when you really need them (such as making that jump across Navy Pier) and avoid hitting too many lampposts.
To activate the Dip Switches press [F10] for setup
at the TITLE SCREEN. In the setup make sure the
[Caps Lock] is on and type DIP. The screen will
change to switch 1, 2 and so on. Once selected the
Dip switches press [Esc], then go to exit & Save.
Now exit the program and come back in, now the Dip
Switches are activated.

In the character choosing screen, you can choose about 40+ characters extra! All you gotta do is to stand on one of the characters, and press START + ACTION KEY.
If you've done this right, you'll see the character thumbnail turn around.
Do this as many as you want.
Then start the game, and Tanya has a new exciting costume! (and a different weapon).
This works on all of the characters.
Did you see the six skulls under in your screen, while loading?
Some action keys can turn them into a number.
If you use simple numbers like '101-101' or '222-222', you have activated a cheat. Try all of them!
* Cheat Menu:
Go to the Practice menu and highlight "Difficulty."
Now press and hold BLOCK and LK together for 10 seconds. A cheat menu should appear.
Play as Noob Saibot:
Activate the cheat menu.
Now begin 'Arcade' mode. Select Hidden and press Up, Up, Left (you will be on Reiko), then press Run + Block to select Noob Saibot.

First you need to win the tournament. You will get a bonus track (Las Vegas). When you win the second tournament you will get these codes :

* Secret Routes
- Pacific:
Just after the long winding segment past the start/finish line, there is a parking lot to the left.
Pull a quick left turn, go through the lot and the grass beyond, and swing left back onto the track.
If maneuvered correctly, this can shave about two seconds off your time.
During the long straightaway along the coast, there's a trail through the trees parallel to the road.
Driving on it is no problem and may actually improve time, but you've gotta get back on the road because the trail ends at a big rock.
- Mediterranean:
Drive around the left side of the first big windmill.
Here's another chance to travel alongside the road, although this time it'll only slow you down.
The guardrail is broken on the right side of the road just past the columns (after the tunnel).
You can drive off the cliff and cruise around on the beach for a few seconds.
On the hill slope, just after the start line, the guardrail makes a straight angle on the left. On a high speed, you will fly across it straightly into the private yard!
Another broken rail is located where you are driving alongside the cliff under the big wooden supports.
The fourth support is broken and driving over the rail past it will send your car sailing off into space
-Mystic Peaks track:
The ripping bridge is also a nice place.
While driving some very fast car (like McLaren F1), try to gather as much speed as possible before the bridge, and hold on the side when entering it. If you are lucky, you will fly over the bridge and fall into the infinity!... But if you didn't, try to go back before the bridge, gather top speed on it and get flying over the edge of the road.
